In 2022, I had a satisfactory experience at Eurocar Doctors' Irvine location, where they efficiently resolved an issue with the hood lock of my Audi A8 for $300. When the same issue resurfaced in 2024, I was directed to their Costa Mesa branch under the assurance that Kevin Slevin, who I was told had personally repaired my car previously, would do so again. Upon taking my vehicle to Costa Mesa, I communicated the urgency due to ongoing rental car expenses, requesting text-only communication as I am unable to take private calls during work. Despite this, Kevin frequently called instead of texting, causing unnecessary delays and wasting precious time. This delay was particularly problematic because it was my only car, and I was paying for a rental vehicle during the time they were trying to figure out how to repair my car. They did not offer a courtesy vehicle and showed no consideration for the $1,000 I spent on the rental. After all the inefficient communication and wasted time, I had to physically go to the Costa Mesa location, where Jake Schneider, who was handling the quote, finally informed me that the only solution they proposed was to destroy the hood hinges and the grill, which would require replacing both, escalating the cost to an unreasonable $1,600. This estimate could have easily doubled if they damaged other components with their butchering method. Ultimately, I took my car elsewhere, and they resolved the issue for a mere $100 without cutting or damaging any parts. It took no more than an hour to open it. What took nine supposed "experts" at Eurocar Doctors over a week to figure out, one skilled and curious person handled in no time. While Eurocar Doctors resorted to brute force, this individual used their brain to find a more thoughtful solution. I am deeply dissatisfied with the handling and professionalism at Eurocar Doctors, particularly at their Costa Mesa location. The entire experience reflected a complete disregard for customer service, financial constraints, and professional expertise. Based on this, I cannot recommend their services.
